Conference "Arhivska praksa 2011"
Archives of Tuzla Canton and Society of archival employees of Tuzla Canton are organizing the conference (24th in order) "Arhivska praksa 2011" (Archival practice 2011) that will take place on 6. and 7. of October 2011. in Tuzla (Hotel "Tuzla").

Participants and lecturers include guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Macedonia and Slovenia.

ICARUS Workshop "Informatization of Archives"
In cooperation with the Archives of the Tuzla-Canton the Croatian State Archives organised a workshop within the section “ICARUS@work”, exploring the possibilities and current status as well as future options of archives in the electronic environment. The 2-day-workshop took place in Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 30th to 31st of May 2011 and it was supported by the project “ENArC” as part of its “Linking the Neighbourhood” programme, to foster a closer connection between Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina.

Exhibition of documents and photographs of Tuzla"Kapija 25.05.1995."
Archives of Tuzla Canton hosted (on Tuesday, 24.5.2011.), an exhibition of documents and photographs "Kapija 25.05.1995." which was created with cooperation by Archives of Tuzla Canton, Society of archival employeesf and the Commission of civilian victims during war 1992. -1995. in Municipality of Tuzla. Exhibition was presented on 17 panels (it is planned to expand to up to 30 panels), and for making of the exhibition 29 documents, 54 photographs and 5 newspaper articles have been used.
Attendees were addressed in the name of the archive by authors Esaf Lević and Hatidža Fetahagić and Archives Director Dr. Izet Šabotić, while the Commission of civilian victims of war in 1992. - 1995. President Hilmo Bučuk spoke as well.
The exhibition is part of the effort to mark the 25th May 1995. , when the shell was fired from the Ozren at 20:55 hours and killed 71 and injured 124 people of Tuzla. The average age of victims was 23 years. Novak Djukic, former commander of the Ozren Tactical Group of the Army of Republika Srpska, in June 2009. was sentenced to 25 years in prison for ordering the shelling of civilians in Tuzla on 25.5.1995.

Promotion of publications by Archives of TC at the book fair in Tuzla
On Saturday, 21.5.2011. with beginning at 17:00 hours promotion for 2 publications by the Archive and our archival association were held. Promoted magazines were"Archival Practice" (the last number, No. 13) and "Journal of Archives and Society of archival employees". Main speakers during the event were dr. Izet Šabotić, director of the Archives of Tuzla Canton and chief editor of the Journal, Azem Kozar, Omer Zulić and Hatidža Fetahagić. A detailed presentation of the Journal was given bySelma Isić.

Assemblies of Archival association the Federation of Bosnia and Archival association of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Assembly of Archival association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been held on 05.05.2011. in the premises of the Museum of Herzegovina in Mostar, hosted by Archives of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. At the Assembly the reports on the work of the Association were presented and several relevant documents for the work of the Association in the future have also been adopted. The same day there was the Assembly of Archival Associations of Bosnia and Herzegovina (national association). Representatives of our Archive took active role in both events.

First Congress of Cultural forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina
First Congress of Cultural forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina took place on 23rd of April 2011. in Sarajevo, and it was attended by representatives of cultural institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Directorate of economic planning, Directorate for European integration and Statistical Agency of B&H. Archives of Tuzla Canton had its own representatives: director of Archives, dr. sc. Izet Šabotić, and archivists Omer Zulić and Esaf Lević.
Several key issues where debated during the Congress: European integrations, Action plan for devising Strategy for cultural policy developed by Ministry of Civilan affairs of B&H, Ministry of education and culture, RS and Federal Ministry of culture and sport as part of projects by MGDF/UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO.
The Congress also declared 23. of April as day of art and culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina and called every institution and artist to participate in marking this date.

Primary school students visit Archives of Tuzla Canton
Today our institution hosted group of students from primary schools ("Vuk Karadžić" Bijeljina and "Centar" Tuzla) in from our and neighbouring town. As usual, they were introduced to functions of the Archive and its role in society. Tour of facilities, including storage areas and library was also included. Archival conference in Radenci
A traditional archival conference "Tehnični in vsebinski problemi klasičnega in elektronskega arhiviranja" has been held at Radenci, Republic of Slovenia. Representatives of Archives of Tuzla Canton, Doc.Dr. Izet Šabotić, Selma Isić and Omer Zulić actively participated in the event.

Remembering the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina: History lesson in the Archive
To mark the occasion of Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina (March 1st) the Archives of the Tuzla Canton organized a historic class for fourth-grade high school students of Gymnasium "Ismet Mujezinović" from Tuzla. In this way, wereminded ourselves and the public through media coverage, of this important date in the history of our country. Visit our gallery to experience part of the atmosphere.

EXHIBITION „NURAGA SOFTIĆ – ARTIST'S WAY“
On 15 February 2011. in the premises of the Archive of Tuzla Canton the photo exhibition "Nuraga Softić - Artist's way" has been presented. The reason for placing the same is to celebrate 60-year anniversary of successful work of Nuraga's career as photographer. Visitors had a chance to see some of Softić's artistic creativity and a great love which he cherished for years under this kind of artistic expression.
Nuraga Softić a sincere friend and associate of the Archive, who spoke of memories for many fans of photography and his creativity. The exhibition was in honor of his work and celebrating significant anniversaries that have been prepared by employees of our Archive and Society of archival employees of Tuzla Canton.
In the name of the host doc. dr. Izet Šabotić, director of the Archive of Tuzla Canton, adressed the audience. After him, author of the exhibition mr. Softić also presented a speech. Regarding the presentation, professor Omer Zulić, president of Society of archival employees (of Tuzla Canton) gave some insight in it, while mr. Robert Andrejaš, president of Photographic Society „Foto klub Tuzla“ declared opening of the exhibition.
