As part of its activities Archives Canton issues certificates to individuals and legal entities that contain the facts contained in archival holdings, and certified copies of documents and other documents in accordance with the Law on Administrative Procedure.
Customers are required to fill a special form: name, ID number, address and telephone number, the documentation required by the State, year of execution, on whose behalf it was issued, in which the fund is it located, and for what purpose it is required. You may submit the information by phone or e-mail.

Library
Since the Archive was founded it constantly followed policy to gain and purchase books for use in the work of professionals and the archive in order to provide improved customer service. Thus, in just a few years, the Archive began to operate the library, which serves the needs of our professional as well as broader scientific activities.
The archive library is a specialized library. The structure of its holdings are books - primarily in the field of history and archival science, and then from other social sciences, while natural sciences are only slightly represented.
The Library has books in French, German, Russian and Italian language. The library fund amounts to over 12,000 units. A significant part of the library fund is composed by periodicals.
There are over 150 titles: official papers, compilations of laws, information sheets, sheets of culture, art and education, shorthand reports on the work of the authorities, periodic publications in the field of history, archival science, statistics, museology, etc.
Library is used by researchers and professionals with the same annual visit on average about 1,000 visitors, among which are the most numerous students and high school students.
Library is open on every weekday from 09:00 to 15:00.
Reading Room is located in the building of the Archive, on the first floor. It has 12 seats.
Users of our material must submit written request in order to gain access to it. Information they must provide in the form are personal data, data on place of residence, the subject of research, ie the purpose and use of materials that are required for use.
Completely filled out and signed request is to be submitted to the responsible person in the reading room.
Completed applications for the use of archival materials are approved by the Director of Archives or other authorized person.
Approval for the use of materials is given immediately if possible, or within three days of application.
Approval for use of archival material is only valid for the person who made the request.
Documents are issued for use on the following day.
Note: We do not borrow books or archival material for use outside of Archives
